EASY PLANT HANGER | free crochet pattern

Here's a quick and easy free crochet pattern for a plant hanger in two different sizes! I just love the simple nordic design, it's just perfect to camouflage uggly pots with!

MATERIAL

- Yarn: The plant hanger is crocheted with Lankavas recycled cotton yarn, Minimop. 1 kg = approx 700 m, 100 g = approx. 70 m
- Crochet hook: a size that works with the yarn. (ex. 6 mm)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker (optional): These will help you to keep track of where your row starts and ends and how many chains you've made.

r = row, st = stitch, sl st = slip stitch, ch = chain stitch, sc = single crochet, inc = increase

PLANT HANGER - FREE CROCHET PATTERN

▪ The plant hanger is crocheted in a spiral.
 
SMALL POT (circumference approx. 11 cm, height approx. 10 cm)
r 1: 2 ch, 8 sc in the second ch from the hook. (8) = magic circle
r 2: [inc]x8. (16)
r 3: [sc, inc]x8. (24)
r 4: [2 sc, inc]x8. (32)
r 5: [3 sc, inc]x8. (40)
r 6-19: 40 sc. (40)
Now it's time to crochet the ropes. You can easily adapt the length of the ropes by decreasing or increasing the amount of ch.
r 20: [10 sc, 250 ch, sc around the beginning of the rope]x4. (40) Cut off the yarn and fasten the ends.
▪ Tie the ropes together with a knot.

BIG POT (circumference approx. 13 cm, height approx. 13 cm)
r 1: 2 ch, 8 sc in the second ch from the hook. (8) = magic circle
r 2: [inc]x8. (16)
r 3: [sc, inc]x8. (24)
r 4: [2 sc, inc]x8. (32)
r 5: [3 sc, inc]x8. (40)
r 6: [4 sc, inc]x8. (48)
▪ You can continue to increase 8 st each row if you have a bigger pot until you have the same circumference on your crochet circle as on your pot.
r 7-24: 48 sc. (48)
▪ Now it's time to crochet the ropes. You can easily adapt the lenght of the ropes by decreasing or increasing the amount of ch.
r 25: [12 sc, 200 ch, sc around the beginning of the rope]x4. (48)
▪ Cut off the yarn and fasten the ends.
▪ Tie the ropes together with a knot.
