MATERIAL

- Yarn: The tiny bee is great for using up those scrap yarns! (e.g. recycled Karma cotton from Kremke Soul Wool 50g = 105 m)
- Crochet hook: a size that works with your yarn. (e.g. 3.50 mm)
- Stuffing Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Pins

GAUGE

22 sc stitches on 10 cm.
23 rows on 10 cm.

AMIGURUMI BEE - FREE CROCHET PATTERN

HEAD

- The head is crocheted in a spiral with yellow (or something else) yarn.
r 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in the second chain from the hook. (6) = magic circle r 2: [inc]x6. (12) r 3: [1 sc, inc]x6. (18)
r 4: [2 sc, inc]x6. (24)
r 5: [3 sc, inc]x6. (30) r 6-9: 30 sc. (30)
r 10: [3 sc, dec]x6. (24) - Cut off the yarn and weave in the ends.
 

BODY

- The body is crocheted in spiral with yellow and pink (or something else). Start to crochet with yellow yarn.
r 1: 2 ch, 4 sc in the second chain from the hook. (4) = magic circle
r 2: [inc]x4. (8)
r 3: [sc, inc]x4. (12)
r 4: [2 sc, inc]x4. (16)
r 5: [3 sc, inc]x4. (20)
r 6: [4 sc, inc]x4. (24) Change color to white
- Continue to make stripes. Change color after two rows.
r 7: [5 sc, inc]x4. (28)
r 8: [13 sc, inc]x2. (30) r 9-15: 30 sc. (30)
r 16: [3 sc, dec]x6. (24)
- Cut off the yarn and save approx. 30 cm.
- Weave in the other end.

EYES x2

- The eyes are crocheted with a seam with white yarn.
r 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in the second ch from the hook. sl st, ch. (6) = magic circle r 2: [inc]x8. (12)
- Cut off the yarn but save approx. 20 cm.
- End the row with an invisible join.
- Weave in the other yarn end.
- Embroider or surface (4) sl st eyes with black onto the white part.
 

FEELER x2

- The feelers are crocheted with black yarn. r 1: 5 ch, ch turn. (6) r 2: 5 sc in each ch, starting from the second chain from the hook. (5) - Cut off the yarn but save approx. 20 cm.
 

WINGS x2

- The wings are crocheted with white yarn. r 1: 7 ch, ch turn. (8) - Start to crochet in the second chain from the hook.
r 2: 2 sl st, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 5 dc, turn and continue to crochet in the back loops of the ch:s, 2 hdc, 2 sc, 2 sl st. (17)
-
Cut off the yarn, but save approx. 20 cm.
- Weave in the other yarn end.

ASSEMBLING

- Sew the eyes onto the head.
- Secure the feelers with a knot onto the head.
- Sew the wings onto the body.
- Stuff the head and the body and attach them to each other.
