It's time to crochet along again! In October we'll be crocheting together a new Garnknuten design for the 7th time!
I started hosting crochet alongs 3 years ago for a small crowd of amigurumi enthusiasts. Since then my annual crochet alongs have grown rapidly and last Christmas we were over 2000 amazing amigurumi lovers from all over the world crocheting together. I'm super excited to get to host a new amazing event in October!
The crochet along is hosted in the Facebook group Crochet with Garnknuten and in your email inbox, where you'll get the link to the 7 videos or/and pattern pieces (depending on your ticket). Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions.

MATERIAL
The choice of yarn and hook is completely up to you and your personal taste, but I recommend using an environmentally friendly yarn or something from your stash.
Yarn: approx. 80-100 g organic fingering weight cotton yarn ex. BC Garn Alba (50 g = 160 cm)
YARN (50g = 160cm)
A – Purple <40g (Alba nr 21)
B – White <5g (Alba nr 16)
C – Black <5g (Alba nr 22)
D – Light purple <20g (Alba nr 02)
E – Orange or Yellow <20g (Alba nr 17)
- Crochet hook in size 3 mm
- Stuffing
- Needle
- Scissors
- Pins (optional)
- Stitch marker (optional)
ABBREVIATIONS US-terms (Click on the stitches to find helping video tutorials!)
r - row
st - stitch
sl st - slip stitch
bl - back loop
fl - front loop
cc - change color
[…]x… - repeat the instructions in the brackets x-times
(…) - the number of stitches at the end of the round.
KEEP THIS IN MIND
- Make sure you crochet pretty tight all the way, so you don’t get large holes between the stitches. If you crochet loosely, I suggest you should test a smaller hook size (ex. 2,5 mm / US 0) so that the stuffing don‘t show once you‘ve filled the toy.
- All parts will be worked in spirals (if the pattern doesn’t say otherwise) - so you don‘t
have to think about closing the rounds.
- A stitch marker can help you keep track of the beginning of your rows.
