MATERIALS
▪ 2 colours of sport weight yarn (50g = 160m), 3.00 mm crochet hook, tapestry needle, scissors
FLOWER
The flower is crocheted with yarn A.
The flower is crocheted with a seam. Start every row by crocheting a ch and close every row by crocheting a sl st into the first st on the row. The next row always begins in the same st as the last sl st.
r 1: 5 ch, close them up to a circle with a sl st, ch, 8 sc around the circle, sl st in the first st. (8)
r 2: ch, [inc]x8, sl st in the first st. (16)
r 3: ch, [1 sc, inc]x8, sl st in the first st. (24)
r 4 (fl): [skip 1 st, 5 hdc in next st, skip 1 st, sl st in next st]x6. (6 hdcg)
▪ Skip the last sl st and end the last row with an invisible join.
▪ Cut off the yarn and fasten the ends.
The leafy part is crocheted with yarn B.
SQUARE
The square is crocheted with yarn B.
Join the yarn in the first bl on the flower. End every row by crocheting a sl st in the 3rd ch and 2 sl st in the following 2 dc and one last sl st in the corner of the square.**
r 1 (bl:s of the flower): 3 ch, 2 dc in the first bl on the flower, 2 ch, 3 dc, ch, skip 4 st, [3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc, ch, skip 4 st]x3, ** (8 dc groups / 8 ch holes)
r 2: (3 ch, 2 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in the corner, ch, 3 dc around the ch, ch, [(3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in the corner, ch, 3 dc in around the ch, ch]x3, **. (12 dc groups / 12 ch holes)
r 4: (3 ch, 2 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in the corner, ch [[3 dc around the ch, ch]x2, (3 dc, 2 ch, 3 dc) in the corner, ch]x3, [3 dc around the ch, ch]x2. (16 dc groups, 16 ch holes)
▪ End the last row with an invisible join.
▪ Cut off the yarn and fasten the ends.
