Love surprises, amigurumi, and connecting with like-minded crocheters? Then you won’t want to miss this event!
What is a Mystery Crochet Along?
A Mystery CAL (Crochet Along) is a fun digital event where you discover a brand-new amigurumi pattern, piece by piece, alongside a group of fellow makers over a set period of time.
This year, during June, we’re celebrating Midsummer with a happy new animal!
Below, you’ll find all the important details: abbreviations, color keys, and what to prepare before the CAL starts on June 15th. Welcome to the party!
Here you'll find the link to the pattern parts. [Coming soon!]

A Quick Look Back
Last summer (2026), we crocheted Rune the Stingray together!
It all started in December 2018 when I hosted my very first CAL with a small group of amigurumi enthusiasts. We made Ralf the Moose, and he stole many hearts that winter. Since then, our crochet alongs have grown into a beloved tradition, with over 5,000 people joining in so far!

Tips for Success
- Make sure you crochet pretty tight all the way, so you don’t get large holes between the stitches. If you crochet loosely, I suggest you test a smaller hook size (eg, 2.50 mm) so that the stuffing doesn‘t show once you‘ve filled the toy.
- All parts will be worked in spirals (if the pattern doesn’t say otherwise) - so you don‘t have to think about closing the rounds.
- A stitch marker can help you keep track of the beginning of your rows.
