2D HEART - FREE CROCHET PATTERN
YARN: whatever you have at home
CROCHET HOOK: a size that works with the yarn
ABBREVIEATIONS: st=stitch, sl st=slip stitch, ch=chain stitch, sc=single crochet, tr=treble crochet, inc=increase
REMEMBER
- Always skip the last ch on the row.
- The heart is crocheted back and forth until the last round.
r 1: 2 ch, 2 sc in the second ch from the hook. ch, turn. (2)
r 2: [inc]x2. ch, turn. (4)
r 3: inc, 2 sc, inc. ch, turn. (6)
r 4: inc, 4 sc, inc. ch, turn. (8)
r 5: inc, 6 sc, inc. ch, turn. (10)
r 6: inc, 8 sc, inc. ch, turn. (12)
r 7-8: 12 sc. ch, turn. (12)
r 9: 11 sc, inc. Continue to crochet down on the left side of the heart. 7 sc. 3 sc in the tip of the heart. Continue to crochet on the right side of the heart. 8 sc. Crochet the following on the last side of the heart. [Skip 2 st, 8 tr in the same st, skip 2 st, sl st]x2.
- If you want a nice and pretty end I would recommend you to skip the last sl st and end the row with an invisible join. (Check the pictures!)
